Mounjaro is intended to be used alongside a low-calorie diet and regular physical activity.

Tirzepatide works by mimicking the hormones GLP-1 and GIP, which are naturally produced by the intestine in response to food. These hormones have several effects:

10. HOW TO USE IT?
Mounjaro is injected subcutaneously once a week at a fixed time, preferably in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. The injection should not be administered into a muscle or blood vessel. 11. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WORK?

12. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I MAKE A MISTAKE WHILE USING IT?
If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as possible, unless the next dose is within two days. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your normal schedule. Never take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
